Last day to register to vote for the November general election. Register online, by mail (postmarked by this date), or in person.
October 13, 2026
Three weeks of early voting starts. Vote at any early voting location in your county — you are not limited to your assigned precinct during early voting.
October 17, 2026
Georgia requires early voting on the second and third Saturdays before Election Day. Some counties also offer Sunday voting.
October 23, 2026
Last day to request an absentee ballot. If you have already requested one, track its status on My Voter Page.
October 24, 2026
Second mandatory Saturday of early voting. Check your county for Sunday availability.
October 30, 2026
Last day of early voting. After this, your next chance to vote is Election Day at your assigned polling place.
November 3, 2026
Polls open 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. You must vote at your assigned precinct on Election Day. Bring a valid photo ID. If you are in line by 7:00 PM, you will vote.
November 23, 2026
If any race finishes without a majority, early voting for the runoff runs November 23 through November 25. This is a very short window due to Thanksgiving.
December 1, 2026
Georgia requires winners to receive a majority of votes. If no candidate clears 50%, the top two advance to a runoff.

Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM — some counties open as early as 7 AM or close as late as 7 PM
Saturday voting is required on the second and third Saturdays before Election Day (October 17 and October 24)
Some counties also offer Sunday voting — check your local schedule
Bring a valid photo ID — the same ID required on Election Day
