What ID Do You Need To Vote In Georgia?
Georgia law requires every voter to show a valid photo ID at the polls. This applies whether you vote early, on Election Day, or by absentee ballot. If you do not have an accepted ID, Georgia will give you one for free.

Bring any one of the following to your polling place.
Georgia State Photo ID
Issued by DDS or your county registrar's office
U.S. Passport
Valid passport or passport card
U.S. Military Photo ID
Must contain your photograph
Georgia Student ID
From a Georgia public college, university, or technical school
Tribal Photo ID
Must contain your photograph
Government Employee Photo ID
From any branch, department, agency, or entity of the U.S. government, State of Georgia, or any county, municipality, board, authority, or other state entity

Georgia provides a free Voter ID card to any registered voter who does not have another form of accepted photo ID.
Free Georgia Voter ID Card
You can get a free Voter ID card at any county registrar's office or any Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) office. There is no charge.
What to bring when applying for a free Voter ID:
A photo identity document or approved non-photo identity document that includes your full legal name and date of birth
Documentation showing your date of birth
Evidence that you are a registered voter
Documentation showing your name and residential address
Do not wait until Election Day. Get your free ID before the election so you are ready to vote.
/ Absentee Ballot ID
Voting by mail also requires identification.
When you request your absentee ballot, you must include your driver's license number, state ID number, or the last four digits of your Social Security number
A copy of your photo ID must accompany your completed absentee ballot when you return it
Return your ballot by U.S. mail, at a drop box during early voting hours (October 13–30), or in person at your county elections office
/ What If You Don't Have ID At The Polls

You will vote a provisional ballot
Poll workers will give you a provisional ballot so your vote can still be recorded.

Provide your ID within three business days
Bring a copy of your accepted photo ID to your county Board of Elections within three days after the election.

Your vote counts
Once your ID is verified and you are confirmed eligible, your provisional ballot will be counted.
